AGENDA

  1. Appointment of Chairman of the Council for the Municipal Year of 2024/25.
  2. Appointment of the Vice Chair of the Council for the Municipal Year of 2024/25.
  3. Committees of the Parish Council for the Municipal Year of 2024/25 - To consider the appointment of Parish Councillors to the Committees of the Parish Council.
  4. Position of Hall Secretary - To consider the appointment of Hall Secretary for the Parish Council for 2024/25. 
  5. To receive apologies for absence given in advance of the meeting.
  6. To consider the approval of reasons given for absence.
  7. Declarations of Interest – To receive any declarations of interest not already declared under the council’s code of conduct or members Register of Disclosable Pecuniary Interests. 
  8. Questions from the public – This is a public session, members of the public will adhere to the rules set by the council for this session. Thirty minutes are allowed to raise issues and ask questions of the Parish Council. 
  9. Minutes of the previous Parish Council meeting held on Thursday 4th April 2024 – To approve the minutes as a correct record, for signature by the Chairman.
  10. Minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting (Annual Assembly) held on Thursday 4th April 2024 – To approve the minutes as a correct record, for signature by the Chairman.
  11. Matters Arising – To receive information on the following ongoing issues and decide further action where necessary. 
    Damage to recently planted fruit trees on Vale Road and behind the Parish Hall.
  12. Police Report – To update council on the latest local crime statistics.
  13. Renewal of Insurance policy with Zurich Municipal – To discuss and agree the renewal of the insurance policy for 2024/25 held with Zurich Municipal.
  14. Renewal of Membership of Yorkshire Local Councils Association - To discuss continued membership of the association and approve subscription for 2024/25.
  15. Renewal of Membership of Community First Yorkshire – To discuss and agree renewal of membership of Community First Yorkshire for 2024/25.
  16. Edge IT Systems End of Year Services – To consider and approve invoice from EDGE IT Systems for year-end accountancy services.
  17. Renewal of Accounting Package with EDGE IT Systems. – To consider and accept invoice from EDGE IT Systems for renewal of accounts package for 2024/25.
  18. New Toilet for Lavatory – To approve new toilet fitted in gents toilet. 
  19. Parish Hall Boiler – To discuss age of parish hall boiler and consider cost of a new heating system.
  20. Dalton & Thrybergh Ward Priorities – The newly elected RMBC council will be setting ward priorities after the election and this is our opportunity to discuss the requirements of our area to submit to RMBC.
  21. Correspondence – To consider the following new Correspondence received and decide action where necessary.
    1. YLCA White Rose Bulletin.
    2. YLCA Training Bulletin.
    3. NALC Chief Executive’s Bulletin. 
    4. Dalton & Thrybergh Neighbourhood News
    5. Items Of Report – To receive, consider and decide upon any items of report.
    6. Matters Requested by Councillors and/or AOB.

PRESS AND PUBLIC TO LEAVE THE MEETING

  1. Review of Parish Hall Bar for 2023/24 – To inform Councillors on number of events that took place in bar and financial performance of bar area.
  2. Accounts For Payment – To consider and approve accounts for payment April.
  3. To notify the Clerk of matters for inclusion on the agenda of the next meeting.
  4. To confirm the date of next Parish Council Meeting – Thursday 6th June 2024 starting at 6:30pm.
